In the midst of pandemic life, while trying to work full-time and take care of two small children, I came to the first of two major realizations. Despite having all the right pieces in place, I wasn’t really happy. You might call this an “Aha moment.” It certainly was for me. Specifically, when asked “how are you?” I didn’t know how to answer honestly - for others or for myself.

My aha moment.

Taking action

Recalling an article I had read about a member of my local community who had become a mindset and motivational coach, I decided I needed to make a change, and that seemed like a good place to start. I didn’t know exactly what coaching was or whether it would be right for me, but I knew I needed some help to get going. Setting up that first consultation was a key turning point.

Over the next two years, I became a more patient parent to my children, and a better spouse to my husband; I transformed physically and got into the best shape of my life, and I secured a promotion I had been chasing for years. During the process, even before achieving any of these milestones, I realized I had a new response to “How are you?” I found myself saying “You know, I’m really great and here’s why….” For the first time in as long as I could remember I felt I had clarity as to what determines my happiness, and I was actively making improvements in those areas. And it felt AMAZING.

Shifting gears

I also came to the realization that helping other people grow and thrive was by far the most rewarding part of my job. That set me on the path to certification as a professional work + life coach. Since then I’ve delighted in guiding clients through their challenges - big or small - and sharing their pride and satisfaction as they learn to take control in their lives and make things happen. My personal journey and my professional one have come together to put me in the incredibly fortunate position of paying it forward. My depth of business experience makes me uniquely qualified as a coach, while my coaching training and empathetic leadership style help me to excel in the business world.

I’m consistently amazed at what people can accomplish with just some time to focus and a little support to formulate their thoughts. You are capable of more than you realize, and I'd love to help you harness that potential. I look forward to sharing with you this opportunity that truly changed my life.
